33rd Sunday, 15 Nov 09, Keep awake! Mk 13

1. A word of warning against the Temple (and against the conservative optimism of those who were looking at the Temple, symbol of the old religion -nostalgia toward the past-): “Not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down” (v.2).

2. A word of warning against those who were announcing the end of the world (and against the conservative pessimism of those who were asking about the day and the hour of a final catastrophe as a punishment –curiosity about the future-). “Do not be alarmed; the end is still to come (v.7)… about that day or hour no one knows(v-32)…).

3. A word of encouragement for the disciples, inviting them to keep awake (the present is more important than the past or the future; the present of daily life!); to keep awake (vv.33-37) and to keep looking forward to meeting the coming of Christ as good news of liberation. “You will be hated by all because of my name. But he who endures to the end will be saved (v.13)… He (Christ) is near, at the very gates (v.29)… My words will not pass away (v.31).”

1. 神殿が象徴するものに対する注意。楽観主義的な保守派は神殿の建築のすばらしさを前にして感嘆し、過去の宗教を懐かしむが、イエスは言われる：「一つの石もここで崩されずに他の石の上にのこることはない(v.2).
2. 「世の終りが近づくよ」と人を怖がらせて説教していた人に対する注意。悲観主義的な保守派は「いつ・何時に世の終りが来て、やっと神の罰がこの時代の上にくだるだろうか」と問い尋ねていた。彼らは未来に対する好奇心をもって悲劇的な世の終りがやってくるのを期待していた。それに対してイエスは言われる：「慌ててはいけない、まだ世の終りではない」…その日、その時は、誰も知らない」 (v-32)…).
3. 弟子たちに対する励ましの言葉。目覚めよ。過去への憧れや未来への心配よりも現在に集中しよう。A word of encouragement for the disciples, inviting them to keep awake (the present is mo現在の日常の中で思いがけないとき、思いがけない出来事を通してあなた方を解放するキリストは常に来られつつある。主はあなたの戸口にいつも尋ねておられる。現在においてめざめよ(vv.33-37) あなた方に解放をもたらすキリストのよき訪れを待ち望みながら目覚めよ。「あなたがたは、私の名のために、憎まれるが、最後まで耐え忍ぶ者は救われる。 (v.13)… 「彼（キリスト）が戸口に近づいていると悟りなさい」 (v.29)… 天地は滅びるが、わたしの言葉は決して滅びない (v.31).”

Sugerencias para leer el capítulo 13 de Marcos:

4. Una palabra de advertencia frente al sistema opresor simbolizado por el Templo. El integrismo conservador, en su momento optimista, mira con nostalgia al pasado y sueña con las presuntas grandezas de la religion antigua, simbolizadas en la arquitectura del templo, como hoy los lefebvristas sueñan con vestimentas litúrgicas de vieja usanza, mitras pesadas, latines anquilosados y capas cardenalicias largas. Pero Jesús dice a los fundamentalistas: “No quedará piedra sobre piedra” (v.2).
5. Una palabra de aviso frente a los visionaries apocalípticos que anuncian el fin del mundo y la llegada de castigos divinos contra esta era tan mala en que vivimos. El integriso conservador, en su faceta pesimista, anhela y pregunta por el fin del mundo, tiene curiosidad por saber el día y la hora de la catastrophe que abrasará en fuegoi eterno a la progresía del Vaticano II. Pero Jesús dice:“No os alarméis con excitación” (v.7)… “ Y añade con buen homor, irnizando “ En lo referente a aquel día o a la hora, no lo sabe nadie, ni siquiera los ángeles del cielo, ni el Hijo, únicamente el Padre...” (v-32)…).
6. Una palabra de ánimo para los discípulos, invitándolos a permanecer despiertos en el presente con esperanza y dedicarse a la liberación aquí y ahora (vv.33-37) and to keep looking forward to meeting the coming of Christ as good news of liberation. “Seréis odiados de todo el mundo por razón de mi persona, pero quien resista hasta el fin se salvará” (v.13)… Él (Cristo) está cerca, está ya a la puerta (en cada momento cotidiano)… (v.29)… Mis palabras no pasarán away (v.31).”
